A Phoenix-area mobile home park in Apache Junction has sold for $88 million. Derek Harris of Harri5 Manufactured Housing & Commercial Brokerage brokered the Phoenix Market deal that was selected as the third quarter 2020 winner of the CoStar Power Broker Quarterly Deal Award.
On the heels of an $88 million record-breaking deal, a publicly traded private equity giant is gobbling up more mobile and manufactured home properties in the Valley. Derek Harris, founder and principal of HARRI5, represented the buyer in both deals.
In a record-breaking deal that closed on Sept. 22, an Arizona RV resort in Apache Junction with 1,119 spaces sold for $88 million. "The buyer is a market leader in RV Resort Communities," said Derek Harris, founder and principal of HARRI5.
Scottsdale-based investment shop Silver King Companies purchased the DesertPueblo park in Tucson, for roughly $72,000 per unit. Derek Harris represented both the buyer and seller in the transaction.
The deal, brokered by Derek Harris, comes as sales of mobile home parks reached a record high last year at almost $3.2 billion, according to CoStar Analytics.
Derek Harris brokers yet another major investment in the Valley real estate market, The Carlyle Group of Washington, D.C. pays $29 million to buy the 302-space Castillo Nuevo mobile home community in Mesa.
